My wife was discussing a sad story of this woman with her daughter (I believe) who has a tumor in her head and at one time they removed it, but has since then returned and spread throughout the young child's body. My wife told me that the mother would lie next her young child to remember her as much as she can before this child dies from the tumor in her daughters head.
I asked my wife if this woman was married and she told me yes. Here is a woman, who attends church with her family to obtain solace in the midst of such a difficult trial - the lose of her daughter. She can attend her church and pray and ask God for comfort. But, what comfort can any of these churches offer her. The same result will come to her daughter, a separation from this mortal life. Would there be some information or knowledge that could help this family to bridge the knowledge that her daughter will go from this life on earth to some after life? I know the naysayers and people with skepticism may mock or even disregard my post for today, but God knows that it is written with truth and sincerity.
Of course, being a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, we have the beautiful and comforting answer. I have not known of any answer that is more beautiful and most exquisite for a mother/parent who will lose her young child because of a terminal illness, but the message of the "Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ". Yes, this would be the most comforting news for her to embrace, so that her life would not be filled with many questions and weighed down with deep sorrow.
Members of the LDS Church, who have studied, practiced the faith, and have made sacred ordinances, know that "Families are Forever". I believe this is the message that would give her much peace in this life and comfort and knowing that life, as a family does not have to end with the loss of life, or the end of mortality.
As Latter-day Saints, we know that if we have made covenants in the Temple of our God, keep them (which is living the teachings of Jesus Christ - Love thy neighbor as thyself), we will be resurrected one day, to live as "Families Forever". Yes, this woman who can only experience sorry presently, can have comfort to know that if she seeks the "Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ" through the teachings and doctrines found with a temple worthy and in good standing member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, her family can be forever, through the love, life, teaching, and sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father, who is Jesus the Christ.
Children who are born in this world and die before the age of eight (8), the year of accountability, before having the opportunity to be baptized in the Lord's Church, will automatically become a Celestial Being, ever to live in the presence of God the Eternal Father and Jesus Christ, who is on the right hand of the Father.
So, if I was in this situation and my child would die before the age of eight (8), I would experience the same sorry and heaviness of the heart, but I would find comfort to know for myself that my child would be "reunited" once again with me as a "Family Forever", after this life, because of the gift and power of the Atonement and the promises of the covenants that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has made to the children of men, which have been completely "restored" with all the rights, privileges, and authority done through Joseph Smith, the great Prophet of the final dispensation before the Second Coming of Our Lord, even Jesus Christ. Amen!
May our joy be in learning of the truth, having God tell us by the Holy Ghost, and by having faith in Jesus Christ, and NOT men, nor the doctrines and commandments and interpretation of men with only worldly scholarly study. It is good to trust people we know and love, but it is important and essential to verify our information; have our most serious questions or concerns answered by God, our Father in heaven who speaks to us by the gift and power of the Holy Ghost (reference: http://scriptures.lds.org/en/moro/10/5#5).
I know what I wrote is true, and I am thankful in the comfort of this knowledge given me by the gift and power of the Holy Ghost, my study, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and making and keeping covenants with my God. Now it is up to you as you soul search if what I wrote is true or if it is not?

This blog will discuss issues about Investing which is my favorite hobby and passion, the economy which affects our decisions directly or indirectly, whether we know it or not; the importance of families, which molds our thoughts, ideas, associations, beliefs, and behaviors; and politics, which some people are passionate about discussing/debating, or has apathy toward it. Regardless, these issues somehow are all related to our thinking and behavior.
