This is probably one of the most significant betrayal of the people of the State of California. It was Proposition 22 that passed overwhelmingly that marriage between a man and a woman was the only union recognized by the State of California.
Then, there were city official in San Francisco that violated this law and of course, thier actions were later repealed.
Now, the California Supreme Court by a 4-3 vote over ruled the VOICE of the People on Prop. 22. The implications of this Court decision is yet to surface upon the societal infrastructure.
This court ruling has made, IMHO, the largest wound toward the Traditional Marriage. Another strike against the family unit as we know it for conservatives.
Definitely, for Christian loving people, and those who walk humbly and peaceably according to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, this monumental ruling by the California Supreme Court, has made a clear dividing line that will direct the people of this, the State of California a state that choose between God's laws or man's laws. For no longer do we follow the simple phrase, "In God We Trust." This nation is beginning to crumble with a new phrase, "Without God We Act."
It will be something that will add to the cup that over floweth already with much iniquity, and will open a Pandora's Box of other more extreme forms of life styles.
The verse or hymn from the scriptures seems to be begging the question, "Whose on the Lord's side, Who?" Surely, the sheep and the goats are being divided on the right and on the left.
People from all walks of life regardless of their chosen faith, or not at all, will have to make a stand on this...it will be recorded in the heavens as to whether the Amendment to the California Constitution will be upheld by the people when the time comes to vote for this most sacred crossroad.
"In the words from, James Dobson, chairman of the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, called the ruling an "outrage."
"It will be up to the people of California to preserve traditional marriage by passing a constitutional amendment. ... Only then can they protect themselves from this latest example of judicial tyranny," he said in an e-mail statement"(Leff, AP Writer).
There have been several attacks on the most basic unit, we call the family. According to Preach My Gospel, p. 85, "Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and when parents make their family their highest priority."
Here are the many attacks that led to this point in history for the American Family:
1. The Feminist Movement - this led to mothers' leaving the home to remove the most significant role model to nurture the young child's life to adulthood. Of course, unrighteous men in many instances brought this about with abuses and disrespect for the woman and their divine role.
2. Roe v. Wade - this historic and landmark decision allowed for a child to be expendable. After all, if the mother isn't in the home, why not throw out the baby with the bath water too. This brought about FREE Love, unbridled extra-marital affairs, teen pregnancies, and of course, the chocolate covered solution of Planned Parenthood.
3. California Supreme Court Ruling (4-3) striking down the last defense that protects a child to grow up in what God has ordained, marriage between a man and woman. Now this unspeakable attack on the Traditional marriage has taken the last leg of the stool that will uphold the perpetuating secure environment where a child can grow into adulthood.
It was bound to happen...Like in the ball game; Strike one: Feminist Movement, Strike two: Roe v. Wade (termination of life), and Strike three: Marriage Redefined. Three strikes and you're OUT! Who is the Umpire? The God who gave us the Breath of Life.
This opens the door to Sodom and Gomorrah. We know from Biblical history the outcome when the cup of iniquity is full and ripe for destruction. Now, it is a matter of time...
The battle grounds are drawn, the righteous, simple, and hard working people of this nation (USA) must awake and arise to lift up their sword of defense to fight a huge battle that will either define America from its birth, or America that will follow the road of Sodom and Gomorrah, or more recently in past history the Roman Empire.
First financial decay, then moral decay, then civil unrest and scarcity of resources. Either way, men, women, and children must flee to Zion, or take up their sword, and defend their ground. Men, women, and children of righteousness must stand and holy places or lose the protection of the Almighty.
What will it be? There is NO Choice for those who LOVE God and keep his commandments. We must battle with all our might within the framework of the law and defend every front that will resurrect the HOME so that the family might be restored.
